CHURCH ENSTONE VILLAGE
Church Enstone is a peaceful and very pretty small village, with many thatched houses including the 9th century St Kenelm’s Church and a huge Tithe Barn dating from 1382. Enstone sits on the border of two geological stone masses. One is the brown Hornton ironstone centring on Banbury and the other is the Oolitic limestone that is characterised as Cotswold stone. Interestingly, several buildings in the village reflect both these stones for decorative effect.
The area is perfect for those wishing to explore the glorious countryside of North West Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.
The village links with numerous footpaths, bridleways & country lanes, popular with ramblers, motorists and cyclists.

Fun Fact
Fun fact about Church Enstone: Theresa May, the vicar's daughter, grew up in the village in the new Vicarage.
The famous "corn fields" she purported to have run though, are literally around the corner!
